Here's How It Works
1st Step: Planisphere 2 directs you to face in the correct direction to find a constellation, star, planet or deep-sky object using its built-in adjustable compass.

2nd Step: Planisphere 2 tells you how high in the sky to look for the object.

3rd Step:  Planisphere 2 directs you to position a star map just below your line of sight to the actual stars in the sky.

Once you complete these 3 steps, the constellations that are shown on the star map will be visible in the night sky directly above the star map. Since there are only a few constellations on each map, they are easy to see and relate to the actual stars in the sky above your map.
